Poised between an invention workshop and an architectural studio, organicMobb studio creates projects that employ elements from multiple scales of design. Projects range from the pragmatic to the speculative as organicMobb studio has designed a boutique in soHo, a concept for a new way to build architecture in the arctic as well as a concept for an automated tattooing device. Projects are rooted in curiosity, rigorous experimentation and a passion for creation.

Founder and director, Dave Irwin received his undergraduate education from Pratt Institute where he studied Architecture. He acquired skills in furniture design while in Copenhagen, Denmark at the København Universitet Møbeldesign where he trained under Nils-Ole Zib. Dave received the Rosenfeld travel grant for excellence in design with his thesis proposal at Pratt Institute entitled, Research Infrastructure Greenland ( RIG ). RIG employs a new way 

to build in the arctic territories of the world, creating a deployable architectural armature that adapts to unpredictable landscape conditions. Currently, the studio is entering the design development phase of this project and are applying for several grants and awards to bring the project to fruition.
